As mentioned in a previous post, I participated in Project REUTSway, a short story contest held by REUTS Publications. I found out a month ago that I was one of the finalists. Today the winners were announced and TWO out of my three stories were chosen for the anthology! My third story is a runner-up, which means it will be posted on their blog at some point in the coming year!
WOOT!
My two winning stories are “Deadman’s Ball,” a Cinderella/zombie mash-up set in the American West, and “Earlobe,” a Little Red Riding Hood/shape-shifter mash-up set on a space station.
My third story, which still doesn’t have a title (I should get on that) is based on The Little Mermaid and features vampires.
There were so many talented writers participating. I can’t wait to read all the stories!
According to the REUTS blog, announcement of publication date/cover reveal/anthology title will be very soon. I’ll be posting updates!
Very well done, Debbie!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Congratulations Debbie! SD
Thanks! 🙂
